Essex ActivATE, Active Essex, Essex County Council uses an external booking system called Evoucher for parents to make their individual bookings. To check your eligibility and find out more, go to https://www.activeessex.org/children-young-people/essex-activate/explained/.

Once your voucher has been received through the online evoucher system, you will be able to follow the link from that voucher to view all the activities available over the school holiday. It is one voucher code that has 16 credits. If you have more than one child, you will receive a voucher for each child.

Haringey Council uses an external booking system, Coordinate, for parents to make their individual bookings.

Eligible families will receive a HAF voucher from your school or education provider with your free school meal code. Bookings can then be made via https://new.haringey.gov.uk/leisure-parks-culture/holiday-activities-food-haf-programme/book-a-place-a-haf-session.

To find your local food bank, you can do this by visiting Citizen's Advice and asking them to refer you to a food bank, checking your local authorities' website, or searching 'local food bank' in your web browser or via this link.

Get help with the cost of living from your local council. You may be able to get help with essential costs from your local council. This is sometimes known as ‘the Household Support Fund’. This could help if you’re struggling to afford things like:

• energy and water bills

• food

• essential items

Your council may also offer food vouchers to families during the school holidays. To find out more and check your eligibility, go to https://www.gov.uk/cost-living-help-local-council.

Junior Adventures Group is Ofsted-registered, which means we can accept tax-free childcare. For every £8 you pay into this scheme, the government tops up your account with a further £2, which you can use to pay for childcare. So, for example, if you deposit £80, the government will contribute £20, giving you a total of £100 to spend on childcare. You can find out more about the scheme and your eligibility here – https://www.gov.uk/tax-free-childcare - but the great news is that around 99% of families are eligible. 

To book through Tax-Free Childcare, please use your venue's name, Ofsted registration number or postcode, which can be found here, and your child's TFC number, which is formatted as the first initial of your child's forename, followed by the first three letters of their surname, five digits and then the letters TFC (for example, John Smith's TFC number would be: JSMI12345TFC). After submitting a booking, please search 'Junior Adventures Group UK' to make your payment. If you are unable to find your chosen venue, please make payment to any 'Junior Adventures Group UK' accounts, as all payments will come directly to JAG. If you have any issues then please contact us via hello@junioradventuresgroup.co.uk.

If you’re going to take advantage of this scheme to pay for JAG clubs and activities, please just drop us a quick email first to give us your reference number so that we can link the payments to your account.

Universal Credit is a government-funded scheme to help with your living costs, including childcare. You may be able to claim it if you’re on a low income, out of work, or cannot work. Check your eligibility and find out more here: https://www.gov.uk/universal-credit

If you're looking to claim Universal Credit, we require an upfront booking and payment on your JAG account. You can obtain a 'tax letter' for proof of payment by emailing our Customer Experience Team at hello@junioradventuresgroup.co.uk.

Upon receiving the tax letter, promptly upload it to your Universal Credit journal. If eligible for reimbursement, the Universal Credit team will process the claim accordingly.

For families eligible to receive HAF funding, please ensure you have registered through your local authority if required.

Please note that some local authorities use their own booking systems, so be sure to check first. If you have been advised to use the Junior Adventures Group booking system, then follow the below steps to secure your child(ren)'s place:

*Parents who have already registered should be able to skip steps 1 & 2

1. Please create an account/login to your online account and secure your place online by clicking our 'Book Now' button.

2. Please confirm that you have read the Terms and Conditions

3. Add your desired HAF Holiday Club location as the centre

4. Add your child(ren) to your account before attempting to make a booking

5. Ensure all the Consent questions, Collector, Emergency Contacts and Doctor details are added.

6. After this, click on ‘Book Activity’ and select the relevant HAF activity – this will ensure your booking is free.*

7. Select the dates you wish to book!

8. Enter your URN and HAF promo code (you should have received this from your school or local authority) at checkout.

*Please ensure to book under the 'Holiday Activity Fund ONLY' activity and apply the promo code sent to you by your local authority or School; otherwise, you will be charged for your booking. Please note that some local authorities will send a Unique Reference Number (URN). This will also need to be applied to your booking where necessary.

Junior Adventures Group does not provide food (unless you have booked via the HAF programme - please contact our friendly JAG customer care team if you would like further information on this) at our Holiday HQ clubs, so our families will need to ensure that they pack a healthy and nutritious lunch for their children.

Please also note that all JAG clubs are also nut-free zones.

Packed lunch recommendation: Please bear in mind that refrigeration is not available at our settings, so please follow our recommendation for your child(ren's) lunch; non-fizzy drinks, fresh and non-processed food such as fruit, vegetables, wholemeal bread and biscuits, raisins, natural yoghurts, crackers as well as ice packs, frozen gel or frozen juice drinks.

Drinking water is always available - please ensure your child brings a water bottle with them!

Please factor in our unpredictable English weather for our holiday clubs, whether that’s sun cream and sun hat or waterproofs and warmer clothing.

With a wide variety of activities on offer every day, your children will be most comfortable in practical activewear. You might also want to provide a change of clothes that you don’t mind getting messy in outdoor play or arts & crafts!

We always suggest that any clothing or items brought to club are clearly labelled and ask that children don't bring any valuable toys or belongings to club, as JAG cannot be held responsible if they go missing.

If applicable, don’t forget to pack a swimming kit, swimming aids (if required) and a towel for your child.
