What makes us different from everyone else is that we live and breathe our JAG Values; we continuously strive to find new and exciting activities and opportunities for the children. We have the added bonus of being able to go swimming every day and also getting the chance to have inflatables and soft play, which other clubs don't always have the opportunity to have.

Not only do they make new friends every time they come to the club, but they also are able to bring existing friends and friends that have previously been to a club before! They are always learning something new, whether creating something amazing to take home or learning sign language. With my knowledge and experience in Swim Teaching, I have taught a complete non-swimmer at a club how to confidently swim all by themselves! (You don't see that every day!)

We had a 6-year-old come to the club, terrified of this new environment and experience - crying and screaming not to be left there. The mother was very keen to take the child home until one member of staff and another child came over and introduced themselves with a calm and caring demeanour. This instantly relaxed the child enough to go and draw at the table with them. By the end of that club day, not only did this child make new friends, but they weren’t afraid anymore; they had a smile the whole day, and her confidence skyrocketed! She was so invested and loved her experience so much that she asked her mum if she could come to the club for the whole week! How amazing is that? They now try to book at our clubs as much as possible.

Top tip! Remember the child's name. That is key to starting the VIP experience!

For the adults to play games with them, talk to them, even sit with them. Learn all about the children through circle time and icebreaker games. If they are a returning customer, ask them what their favourite thing about school has been this term.

We also do Star of the Day! We give these certificates each day to a child who has gone above and beyond to show us how amazing they are! That could be listening, learning a new skill, making a new friend, being kind and caring, helping tidy things away, helping the adults set activities up, etc... Once a child is granted a Star of the Day certificate, it gets awarded to them in front of the other children, and they get to take it home. It is a different child each time, and it encourages others to follow in their footsteps.

With over 15 years of experience working with children in a variety of roles over the years, I use that knowledge to guide and support others. Not only the children but the adults too! I create and invent new games and activities that the children can do each camp week. So that when children come back, they are always learning something new! I bring my enthusiasm and joy to each club and make every child feel special! With my 10 years of experience in teaching swimming, I am able to give non-swimmers who come to camps the guidance they need to build their confidence in the water - which they may not get at other camps.

We always have one of our JAG team members in reception waiting with a big smile for the children! When they first come into the club, we have happy music playing, so the children feel instantly welcome! We introduce them to each adult, so they know who to go to, and we also introduce the children to some of the children we think would make amazing newfound friends! The team have regular training and meetings to make sure they are all set and ready to go for the club prior to the club starting. We are a team that works together; we help and support each other and step up when needed. We create an enthusiastic and exciting vibe at our club, meaning children want to return every time!
